About IARSS

The Illinois Association of Regional Superintendents of Schools (IARSS) represents the Regional Offices of Education and Intermediate Service Centers serving all 102 Illinois counties.

IARSS exists to support Regional Superintendents, educational leaders, and the ROE/ISC network while advancing educational leadership, improving outcomes for students, and strengthening support for school districts across Illinois.

Because ROEs and ISCs work directly with districts and schools every day, they have a deep understanding of the opportunities, challenges, and realities facing Illinois educators.

This statewide network combines local relationships with statewide alignment, creating a unique capacity to support continuous improvement efforts across diverse school communities.

Through decades of partnering with schools across Illinois, ROEs and ISCs have gained valuable insight into the conditions that help improvement efforts succeed and endure over time. AlignED was developed to bring those lessons together with established research on systems thinking, implementation science, shared leadership, and continuous improvement.
