IARSS AlignED Continuous Improvement
Built for Illinois schools. Developed by ROE and ISC experts. Informed by research.
AlignED is a systems-based continuous improvement framework developed by IARSS in partnership with Regional Offices of Education (ROEs) and Intermediate Service Centers (ISCs), to help schools and districts achieve sustainable improvement. Through collaborative leadership, data-informed decision making, continuous learning, and job-embedded support from Illinois’ ROEs and ISCs, AlignED builds the capacity of educators and organizations to improve outcomes for all students.

Schools Need More Than a Plan
Schools rarely struggle because they lack goals, data, or initiatives. More often, improvement efforts lose momentum because priorities compete for attention, implementation is inconsistent, systems operate in silos, and teams lack the time and support needed to sustain change. Research suggests that lasting improvement requires more than isolated programs. It requires a coherent system that aligns people, processes, and practices around a common purpose.

The AlignED Difference
AlignED combines elements that shape how schools approach improvement. Together, these elements provide the foundation for a practical improvement process designed specifically for Illinois schools.
